The Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Operations requires management support for a new requirement release for the Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS).
Responsibilities:
- Provide functional oversight and financial project management of the resource requirements (cost and personnel), schedule, and artifacts required to deliver DEAMS Release 12 (R12)
- Assist SAF/FMP with planning, scheduling and implementation of Oracle Release 12 and DEAMS Releases 3-6
- Provide weekly status updates and prepare/provide Monthly Status Reports and Trip Reports
- Provide program management oversight and leadership of functional R12 requirements from inception phase through execution
- Execute defined program requirements, develop work plans, develop, monitor and coordinate requirements and schedules, and project internal controls
- Assist SAF/FMP with the functional leadership and project management for the R12 design and requirements definition
- Coordinate with the program management office and functional management office in order to adequately develop R12 requirements for DEAMS Release 3
- Develop, monitor and coordinate the functional requirements integrate master schedule
- Measure ongoing project activities, monitor the project variables against the plan, analyze risk to overall schedule and recommend corrective actions
- Provide schedule updates along with risk assessments in weekly updates
- Brief the overall project status to SAF/FMP along with internal controls established to ensure on-time schedule and within cost estimates
- Assist SAF/FMP in designing end to end functional business processes used to define the enterprise-wide architecture
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in business, information technology, engineering or similar area
- Five years of experience in DoD acquisition program management, financial management or resource management
- Secret clearance
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level II or
- Systems Planning Research Development and Engineering (SRDE) Level II
- Certification (Desired)
- Knowledge of Oracle and DEAMS (Desired)
