The IT Site Infrastructure Lead is the primary IT point of contact for Clients DC office’s technology needs. This position exists to provide excellent service to the end-users of the office, to be a representative of the office to IT management, and to be a facilitator of communications between the office and IT management. The mission of the person in this role is to insure that the office staff is able to use the technology platforms provided to their full potential. This implies responsibilities of staff training, implementing, and monitoring the IT environment accompanied by an understanding of the company’s business processes. The position works closely with the Director of IT Infrastructure to articulate and scope infrastructure needs, manage local IT procurement and deployment of hardware and software systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and maintain Active Directory security principles (User accounts, groups, computer accounts) for local resources in compliance with corporate IT standards.
• Expert level Windows operating system installation and configuration, including:
• Installation from optical disk, OS image, or networked OS deployment.
• Sysprep use and options
• Registry modifications, both manual and automated
• Batch file scripts for modifying settings, installing and uninstalling software
• Server hardware configuration (as directed by IT Core Server and Storage team) including:
• Server hardware component installation and upgrades
• RAID configuration, backup, and restore
• Remote management hardware configuration and use
• PC and server hardware troubleshooting
• Configure appropriate data sharing including security settings, VSS protection, DFS namespace configuration, and DFS replication support.
• Work as a cohesive team with local, regional, and corporate IT / Design Application staff to deliver a unified support organization.Required
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience directly supporting employee’s use of technology (preferably in a Design firm)
• MCSE or equivalent experience with Microsoft Active Directory 2003 or later preferred
• Experience creating and maintaining a standalone LAN environment
• Understand capabilities and typical use of company’s application portfolio
• Design applications experience, including Revit and AutoCAD
• Hyper V Tech or VMware experience
• Prior reprographics experience
• SAN experience
Preferred
• Experience with the Polycom videoconferencing system
• Experience with Lync
• Experience with Avamar or EMC
