Cooperative Security Planning Program Manager-Washington DC at Washington

Duties

Coordinate and manage multiple HA/DR and Stability Operations planning, monitoring and evaluation efforts in support of various government agencies. Lead the development and application of decision aids that support Department of Defense Humanitarian Assistance / Disaster Relief (HA/DR) planning, capacity assessment and capacity development efforts. A history of working with state-of-the-art tools to effectively collaborate with distributed teams and interagency partners is an important element in this position. 

 

HA/DR Responsibilities

  • Manage HA/DR and Stability Operations business area revenue, backlog and profit
  • Lead multi-person, joint team in planning and assessment activities
  • Support multi-agency planning efforts for HA/DR response
  • Support implementation of US Army CMEP strategy
  • Support identification of software and related automation requirements for software tool developers
  • Guide the implementation  of FTI decision aids and software solutions
  • Support implementation of innovative HA/DR planning methods and tools to support assessment of resiliency and the creation of capacity road maps
  • Support in-country assessment teams, as required

 Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree highly desired in a related field of study

Experience

  • Minimum of five years hands-on experience managing and coordinating complex humanitarian assistance, peacekeeping or stability operations activities
  • With DoD Cooperative Security, HA/DR planning processes, DoD Theater Campaign Planning Process, and related COCOM planning processes
  • Defining and tailoring metric frameworks to assess society resiliency and assess progress in desired areas
  • Planning and conducting Assessments
  • Working with inter-agency partners for HA/DR and related Stability Operations efforts

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate successful delivery of planning artifacts within cost and schedule while exceeding customer expectations
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of DoD planning processes
  • Hands-on experience facilitating joint or multi-agency planning processes
  • 5+ years supporting HA/DR or Stability Operations planning / activities
  • Ability to facilitate coordinated approaches to crisis logistics planning and HA/DR operations
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances and a lack of clear and accurate information
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in a team environment, managing military and commercial customer relations
  • Established relationships and reputation in DoD and interagency environments
  • Proven track record initiating follow-on support as well as new business opportunities
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance
