Summary
The Consumer Marketing unit builds the foundation for optimal long-term donor value by providing professional resources that increase fundraising revenue and capacity for the American Red Cross. The Coordinator, Chapter Direct Response Program role is responsible for implementing specific direct marketing programs and projects that provide support to chapters, as well as national sector initiatives.
This role will focus on consolidated and integrated direct response fundraising campaigns. These include: active donor renewal; retention upgrade and cultivation direct mail and email campaigns; emergency fundraising campaigns and disaster donor conversion programs; newsletters and other cultivation or marketing pieces to low, mid and high dollar individual donors. This position reports to the Sr Manager, Consumer Marketing.
Responsibilities:
As the Coordinator, Chapter Direct Response Program, it will be your job to clearly and effectively communicate direct marketing strategies to Red Cross chapters, collect relevant creative and content for localization / customization, and track program results. On a day-to-day basis, the Program Associate will be responsible for the following:
• Serves as the day-to-day contact for internal clients, communicates with contacts regularly to understand priorities across the organizational landscape and integration into direct response campaigns.
• Regularly hosts direct response campaign strategy discussions through conference calls and webex tools.
• Supports creation of customized solicitation strategies based on the interests of client markets in order to generate new and increasing revenue.
• Serves as secondary user of marketing automation-workflow tool for team (Aprimo), ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed and deliverables are on schedule.
• Assists the Consumer Marketing team with campaign analysis and other performance data for chapter clients on an ongoing basis.
• Contributes to weekly strategy sessions with external creative agency.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Supports the team's aggressive growth and expansion goals for key markets and donor segments.
• Works with internal and external teams to raise funds in times of crisis.
• Supports the rollout of long-term consolidated field-based direct response solutions.
