HRIS Analyst at Washington

Job Description

We are currently in search of an Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst to join our growing team at our state-of-the-art headquarters in Washington, DC. The HRIS Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of the HRIS to include business process configuration, internal and external reporting, and providing day to day analytical support to the Human Resources team and internal support teams. The HRIS Analyst is also responsible for participating in any future development activities, including system upgrades and the implementation of additional applications and functionality. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work across different teams and thrive in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot Workday configuration and reporting issues to identify and fix root causes.
  • Act as an HRIS Administrator managing user system access, testing and configuring business processes, and custom report writing.
  • Administer, monitor and audit HRIS configuration, security and data integrity.
  • Perform functional configuration tasks for the HRIS modules to satisfy requests for fixes, changes, enhancements and/or compliance related responsibilities.
  • Create custom reports to meet business needs where necessary.
  • Assist in the creation and review of mass updates to data (EIBs).
  • Support Workday upgrades, patches, enhancements, testing, validation and overall performance management of the system.
  • Participate in discussions to evaluate future enhancements and modules, recommend usage, and support the implementation of future Workday modules.
  • Training internal users on Workday functionality and demonstrations of the user interface.
  • Self-management as well as management of processes and outside contractor relationships.
  • Gather business requirements and translate into functional and technical requirements
  • Identify, recommend and implement business process improvements.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Human Resources or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in HR, to include experience with HRIS administration.
  • Expertise working with enterprise HR management systems; experience with Workday preferred.
  • Experience implementing an HRIS system into an existing infrastructure, preferably Workday implementation experience.
  • Experience working with object based and cloud based/SaaS HRMS (Workday, Ultimate Software, and/or Workforce) preferred
  • Understanding of HRMS design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with application tools.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data.
  • Excellent technical aptitude and organizational skills.
  • Leadership in managing and executing test plans; with demonstrated ability to plan, prepare, and execute testing activities such as user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
  • Maturity to handle and work hands on with confidential data.
