Electrophysiology Device Specialist- Cardiology Associates Job at Washington

Cardiology Associates seeks a full time Electrophysiology Device Specialist. This position will be REQUIRED TO TRAVEL to all of our Washington DC office locations.Responsibilities*Coordinating the daily functions of the practices EP device program by serving as a primary resource for pacemaker and defibrillator programming and tracking.*Performs and reports pacemaker and ICD device interrogation and analysis with reprogramming as needed by following established protocols to provide optimal clinical treatment to patients.*Provides patient education and follow-up reminders by meeting with patients in person and/or over the telephone to ensure that the transtelephonic system is being used appropriately and in a timely manner.*Assists in the development and implementation of pre-and postoperative and discharge teaching for patients undergoing implantation of permanent pacemaker/ICD devices, EP studies, and radiofrequency ablation.Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Exercise Physiology program; RN or MCEP required, BSN preferred- Minimum three years experience post graduation; two years of cardiology experience preferred- CPR; MD and/or DC Nursing licenses, if applicable; ACLS preferredABOUT US:Established in 1979, Cardiology Associates, LLC, includes the areas most experienced and respected cardiologists and vascular surgeons.
