Compensation: $28.50 to $50.00 per hour

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant for a DC-based client. This is a contract position with potential to convert to full-time employment. The Senior Accountant will support the companys Director of Operations in all aspects of the companys finances, including overseeing all accounting functions, support external audits, and review and manage complex government contracts, e.g., CPFF, T&M, FFP, CPAF. The Senior Accountant will require minimal supervision and oversee month-end close activities, reconcile payroll, review expense reports, oversee accruals, work with business proposals and project projections. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the government contracting arena. Certified Public Accountant designation and Big Four public accounting experience is highly desired. Small business experience is preferable. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles ( GAAP ).
