Job Classification: Direct Hire Our client, a large Non-Profit located in Washington, D.C. is looking for a Sr. Network Administrator to join their team. Qualified candidate will have the opportunity to assist our client in their migration over to the cloud.Opportunity Highlights- Non-Profit | Downtown D.C.- Direct Placement - Ability to work with leading technology- Cloud ExperienceMajor duties and responsibilities:- Lead and coordinate the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the network infrastructure including firewalls, load balancers, and reverse-proxy systems - Maintain and enhance the network security policies of the client including monitoring of perimeter security ensuring availability, integrity, and confidentiality of information at the client site- Responsible for maintaining access management systems- Proactively monitor and audit network environments, coordinate consistent patching cycles, troubleshoot and direct adjustments as needed- Responsible for coordinating security incident responses- Proactively evaluate and recommend network and security systems and devices to support the current and future infrastructure needs of the client- Actively contributes to business continuity planning and testing- Coordinate regularly with systems administration, database administration, and application development to ensure highly efficient and effective production environment- Perform other duties as assignedMinimum qualifications:- Extensive university or college level training leading to a Bachelors degree accompanied by 3 years direct experience working in a senior role in network administration; or an Associates degree with 6 years experience with specific certifications in networking such as CCNA, CISSP, CCIE, or JNCIA- Extensive knowledge of and experience with TCP/IP networking including VLANs, VRRP, and spanning-tree protocols as well as advanced knowledge in DNS, HTTPS, FTPS, and SMTP- Advanced experience in Cisco IOS configuration and management- Proven experience supporting and maintaining Cisco dual meshed switches, MFC Routers, BGP-based internet services, Cisco Load Balancers, and NAT Firewall services running IPF and IPNAT- Advanced knowledge of shell scripting- Advanced knowledge of Single Sign-on technologies as plus- A working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory a plus- Familiarity with Vyatta Network OS a plus- Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V Server a plus- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, and CCIE as well as advanced training in networking a major plus Join TEKsystems and get your career on the fast track.
