Hours : 8:00am - 4:30pm

• Bachelor Degree
• Valid R.N. License
• 2-4 yrs.

• Coordinates all aspects of the Infection Control Program within the hospital, in accordance with the objectives of the Infection Control Committee, to provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Will be a consultant to all other hospital departments including acute, subacute, and extended care facilities. Requires advanced administrative and management skills. Accountability for multiple internal and external clinical and administrative standards for the Infection Control Program.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Nursing. Masters degree or 3-5 years progressive leadership.
  • Experience coordinating or directing in an Infection Control Program or an Infection Control Public Health Initiative.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience; broad understanding of CDC, OSHA, DC and federal guidelines and regulations involving Infection Control policies in acute and long term care settings.
  • Certified or eligible by the Certification Board of Infection Control (CIC), Association for Practitioner in Infection Control And Epidemiology (APIC).
  • A current RN license in the District of Columbia or eligible to obtain licensure.
