Job Duties and Responsibilities The Cyber Defense Solution Business Unit of ManTech MCIS is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, qualified professional to fill a Senior Network Security Engineer position in Washington, DC. Candidates will be required to support the deployment, configuration, and administration of enterprise network security appliances and software. The position requires the candidate be a self starter and work with limited direct supervision. A wide range of knowledge and skills are needed such as system administration, network engineering, and cyber security. Active TS/SCI required & CI Poly highly desired.A Bachelors degree in Informational Technology or related field (i.e. EE, CPE, MIS, CS) and 9 years of directly related experience. Three or more years of hands-on network security experience is recommended but not required. Candidates must be able to work independently and have the ability to work in a team environment.Must possess knowledge in the following areas: security engineering, intrusion detection, secure network design, firewall and security device administration, and have the ability to work in a team environment. Professional Certification (s): CISSP, SANS GIAC, Security+, Network +, MCSE, CCNA or SSCP are desired but not required.

Job Requirements

A Bachelors degree in Informational Technology or related field (i.e. EE, CPE, MIS, CS) and/or 5 years of directly related experience. Three or more years of hands-on network security experience is recommended but not required. Candidates must be able to work independently and have the ability to work in a team environment. Must possess knowledge in the following areas: security engineering, intrusion detection, secure network design, firewall and security device administration, computer network vulnerability assessment/penetration testing, and have the ability to work in a team environment.
Professional Certification (s): CISSP, SANS GIAC, Security+, Network +, MCSE, CCNA or SSCP are desired but not required.
