Interactive Designer at Washington

Job Description

CoStar Group is the number one provider of information, marketing, and analytic services to the US commercial real estate industry. We are currently seeking an Interaction Designer to join our Marketing team in our Washington, DC headquarters. Our DC office provides a friendly work environment with amenities such as a rooftop deck, fitness center, and a dedicated team work space.

As an Interactive Designer you will be a key member of the CoStar marketing team that requires and rewards: creativity, careful attention to detail and productivity. You will be responsible for creating concept, designing and developing web and some print B2B marketing collateral. The successful candidate should be proactive and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver interaction designs from concept through launch
• Design for a variety of platforms including iPads and web browsers
• Produce designs to help the product team understand the desired customer experience, including high-fidelity wireframes, flows, prototypes, etc.
• Create intuitive interfaces and interaction layers using best practices, the latest web trends and all available tools to augment the user experience
• Coordinate with product managers, executives, and SMEs to incorporate specific design requirements, visual treatment, and organize information

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in visual arts, graphic design, or a related field; Equivalent experience considered.
• 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash
• Ability to modify, maintain and develop in: HTML5, CSS, Javascript and Word Press
• Knowledge of and understanding of the following: Web standards, cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions, Online and interactive advertising, Animation, Video
• Understanding of online information architecture standards and experience creating wireframes but also customizing WordPress themes.
• Understanding of and experience with email design standards
• Ability to design compelling websites, online ads (sometimes animated) and emails
• Experience working in: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Design a wide variety of deliverables such as logos, brochures and presentations.
• Knowledge of typography, layout, illustration and graphic design skills
• Experience designing both mail pieces and sales collateral
• Knowledge of print production

• Knowledge and understanding of design from concept to completion
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Highly creative and detail oriented
• Possession of excellent design skills as well as proven experience expanding and maintaining an established brand
• Ability to take creative direction and develop out the original design concept while meeting pressing deadlines
• Possession of excellent spoken, written and visual communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional creativity, enthusiasm, sense of humor, team spirit and commitment, and professionalism
