Responsibilities
Coordinate all elements of Broadway at the National subscriptions and group sales to include new business development/lead acquisition, customer service and retention, tracking, invoicing, fulfillment and reporting
• Manage incoming subscriber calls throughout the season, including inquiries for subscriptions, additional subscriber tickets, subscriber ticket exchanges, ticket fulfillment and general customer service
• Create and execute subscriptions, group sales and promotional advertising plans with the oversight of the Director of Marketing
• Establish and meet group sales targets for Broadway and other events in coordination with the Director of Marketing
• Create call lists to generate new business
• Develop programs to incentivize group sales patrons
• Distribute monthly group sales newsletters to patrons and perspective patrons
• Regularly attend off-site functions to solicit subscriptions and group sales prospects
• Create group sales settlement reports for each performance/event
• Monitor and report group sales department activity and sales
• Coordinate bulk mailing, faxing, telemarketing and emailing orders
• Ticket distribution as needed
• All other duties as assigned
• Well-versed in the Washington D.C. market and theater/entertainment industries
• Seasoned subscriptions and group sales professional
• Ability to meet specific sales targets in an efficient manner
• Knowledge of box office systems and scaling/seating is preferred but not mandatory
• Able to effectively work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and orally
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with tour operators, hospitality and tourism officials, civic and professional organizations
• Ability to prepare effective reports
• Demonstrate high level of energy and self-motivation to work effectively and enthusiastically with co-workers with a wide-range of personalities
• Strong knowledge of and demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office Suite and current sales software
• Ability to work long, irregular hours as dictated by programming
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university, in sports and entertainment, marketing, public relations, mass communications or related field.
Previous experience/internship in Sales and Marketing or related industry experience preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises interns in the Marketing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws.
