Job Description

Job Classification: Direct Hire The DBA is responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including managing mission critical database applications, backup & recovery, database security, tier 2 support, troubleshooting and maintenance.Qualifications:- BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred- 2-5 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices- 2-5 years Microsoft SQL Server management and troubleshooting experience- Experience working in a clustered Windows environment.- Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments- Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment- Database Backup & Recovery, DR planning, SQL Server Agent/maintenance plansResponsibilities:- SQL Server 2005/2008 R2- T-SQL Programming- Database Administration- Database Backup & Recovery, DR planning, SQL Server Agent/maintenance plans.- Database Management- Database Security- Experience working with large databases- Capacity planningPreferred Skills:- Experience with litigation support technologies (Relativity, Summation Enterprise, etc.)- Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO, etc.)- Server hardware- Microsoft SCOM- SQL Server Policy Based Management- Ability to build and modify Microsoft SSRS reports.
