• Valid R.N. License
• 0-1 yrs.

• Renders professional care for patients according to nursing process.

  PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Essential Job Functions:

  a. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of patients

  b. Interprets, transcribes and implements verbal and written physician orders

  c. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments.

  d. Administers prescribed medications, provides wound care, monitors patients vital signs and provides appropriate pain interventions.

  e. Observes and maintains records on patients care, condition, reaction and progress.

  f. Provides appropriate patient/family education associated with diagnosis and plan of care

  g. Serve as preceptor to new staff

  h. Collaborates in the development activities to improve clinic performance

  i. Supervises other clinic clinical staff (LPNs, MAs)

  j. Supports collaborative patient care with nursing colleagues, supervisors and physicians

  2. Other Job Functions:

  a. Responds and works to resolve customer service issues in a timely fashion.

  b. Takes initiative to maintain a current knowledge base in related patient care topics

  Job Requirements

  Graduate from an accredited Registered Nurse Program.

  One year of current nursing experience.

  Current licensure in the District of Columbia and/or Maryland (depending on location of service).

  Proof of current CPR training.

  Experience in ambulatory setting preferred.
