ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

This Consultant position is a part of FTI Consultings Technology Consulting & Services team which includes Ringtail.Ringtail is FTIs flagship web-based document repository and native file review technology.In the past year Ringtail has been deployed in more than 100 new cases, both client-direct and through a hosted ASP environment, in several organizations including leading Am Law 100 law firms, government agencies and Fortune 100 litigation practice groups.

A Consultant supports and executes specific tasks on a variety of projects in the Technology practice area as requested by Senior Consultants and Directors. Our practice primarily provides professional consulting services to law firms for coordinating document review and production using Ringtail. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who:

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Responsible for day to day activities of projects including interaction with other consultants, supervisors and client personnel
  • Apply analytical skills and leverage existing methodologies to various client situations and practice disciplines and create novel customized solutions to meet shifting client needs
  • Utilize logical reasoning skills to provide complete client services
  • Work to ensure a quality product and delivery of all work within established timeframes
  • Introduce additional FTI services to clients as needs dictate
  • Provide superior client service in demanding, deadline-driven situations
  • Maintain professional image within the firm and project same to those outside the firm

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. or a B.A. college degree required
  • Minimum 1 year of legal/electronic discovery/document review or consulting experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Ringtail databases or similar document review management applications such as Concordance, Introspect, Summation
  • Knowledge of SQL database queries and scripting
  • Strong proficiency with Windows and related software, especially Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Microsoft Access is a plus
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Excellent communication and client interface skills (verbal and written)
  • Outstanding client service in demanding, deadlinedriven situations
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Ability to think clearly under pressure
  • Strong logical reasoning skills
  • Proven ability to conduct training in a professional environment
  • Ability to travel when requested
